Bigger Better Forester 
The new Subaru Forester is bigger, more spacious, and a tad more economical. Most importantly, though, it’s finally got decent ground clearance and also comes with traction control to help its off-road ability. more
 
An Adventure in a Hummer H3 
We did like:
• The excellent fit and finish from the South African built H3. Nothing looked tacky nor did anything break off during our off-road launch drive programme. For an American product this was impressive. Chrysler Jeep please take note. more
 
A Nice Waikato Ramble 
You probably haven’t heard of Naike.
It’s a small farming community located on Highway 22 between Tuakau and Raglan –on a line between Huntly and the coast, definitely a blink or you will miss it township, consisting of what was the local school till it got closed in a rationalisation, a hall and a few houses. more
 
4WD's rule in Detroit 
The Detroit Motor Show in January is fast becoming one of the top launch pads for new vehicles and concepts – the latter usually destined for production in toned-down form from those shown – and once again 4WD vehicles were prominent, proving that the “buy-down” trend hasn’t begun to take hold. At least not in the US, at any rate! more

Perils of the Diesel Bug 
Many diesel vehicle owners don’t realise that a micro organism can grow inside the fuel tank, feeding on the diesel fuel itself, especially if the vehicle isn’t used a lot – as often happens with old 4WDs or those used for occasional trips. more
