New Ground Anchor 
There’s a new ground anchor on offer. It’s small and light and has potential.
Miles Moffat of Christchurch has been perfecting the design and now has a website http://www.lan-cor.com/ for it featuring a short video. Marketed under the Lan-cor name (an abbreviation of land-anchor), it works on the screw principle. Leonardo da Vinci would be proud of it. more
 
Akatarawa Forest Tag along 
The Wellington Family 4x4 Club is a small club with a big dream.
Last year when I went with them on their first Child Cancer Foundation Tag-Along fundraiser (a highly successful event with about 35 entrants) they told me this would be an annual event getting bigger and better. more
 
Woodhill open to 4WD again 
The famous Woodhill Forest, northwest of Auckland, will soon be open to 4WD enthusiasts. more
 
Bigger Better Forester 
The new Subaru Forester is bigger, more spacious, and a tad more economical. Most importantly, though, it’s finally got decent ground clearance and also comes with traction control to help its off-road ability. more
 
An Adventure in a Hummer H3 
We did like:
• The excellent fit and finish from the South African built H3. Nothing looked tacky nor did anything break off during our off-road launch drive programme. For an American product this was impressive. Chrysler Jeep please take note. more
 
A Nice Waikato Ramble 
You probably haven’t heard of Naike.
It’s a small farming community located on Highway 22 between Tuakau and Raglan –on a line between Huntly and the coast, definitely a blink or you will miss it township, consisting of what was the local school till it got closed in a rationalisation, a hall and a few houses. more
