DOC have recently released their brochure on Four-Wheel driving in conservation areas, this provides some excellent advice on safety and protecting the environment when Four-Wheeling in DOC areas (also applicable anywhere else), this can be obtained from DOC offices or downloaded from their website. This includes tips for driving on beaches and around river beds, how to avoid spreading weeds and camping.
DOC also now have some great online information on where you can go Four-Wheel driving in DOC areas in the North and South Islands. Links to these are available on our website www.nz4wd.co.nz in the links section.
