GLENTHORNE STATION

Glenthorne Station is a working sheep and cattle station that comprises of 62,352 acres of spectacular South Island high country nestled on the shores of Lake Coleridge in Canterbury.
Along with offering a wide range of accommodation, Glenthorne also operates the popular self drive Station to Station 4WD Tour. The tour gives a unique opportunity to hire or drive your own 4WD vehicle from “station to station” through some of the South Island’s remotest areas.
The five day self drive adventure includes six nights accommodation, dinner and breakfast with farm stay hosts, picnic lunches, and access to remote high country station tracks.
The beauty of this self-drive adventure is you can choose your own itinerary during the day with the option of doing all track options or just limit yourself to one and then adding a couple of hours fishing or walking at the end of the day.
The 2011 season operates from January to March (or in some cases early April) so those interested should contact Glenthorne Station to check if their preferred start date is available.
