My 4WD - New Feature!

Builds

There’s a whole lot of 4WD-ing going on. Our monthly ‘Your 4s, Our Places’ feature has showcased some amazing parts of New Zealand – and given us a hint of what people are driving when they go adventuring.
That got us thinking. There are some amazing rigs out there and so many great ideas among the 4WD community, maybe it’s time to have a look at the ways we go out there into the real New Zealand.
If owners are keen to have their vehicles featured, we’re looking at a page – or maybe two – in the magazine.
Lift kits, winches, engine swaps, wheel and tyre upgrades, camping setups. You name it. The truck might be a family 4WD, a big tough ute, a super-setup tradie wagon or even a slightly wacky ‘trailer queen’ that will never again see the insides of a VTNZ WOF hall. What it must be is four-wheel drive, a vehicle built with passion for a purpose.
At the end of the year, we’ll choose the best of the best and announce the best of the best of the best, if that makes sense.
This series will kick off next month – people who want to be part of it will need to give us some brief details about their truck – including the build story, the time frame and a ‘back story’ where possible – along with a comprehensive spec sheet setting out what’s been done to the truck.
Then shoot some images – we are keen to get great pics, shot in a great location, to make the page really ‘hum’. Try to shoot images at 300dpi, in jpg format, and with a file size around 4-5 Mb.
In the meantime, we’ll be racing around and sorting out a great prize package for the end of the year.
Give it a crack!
