The Jeep Wrangler has finally got its much-awaited petrol engine upgrade with news that the
All-new 3.6-litre V6 Pentastar motor is fitted in 2012 Wranglers which have just landed in New Zealand.
With the interior upgrade already earning 2011 Wrangler much attention for its soft touch surfaces and modern convenience feature upgrades, the new engine now further enhances the existing vehicle’s performance capabilities in urban and off-road driving, while retaining existing Jeep Wrangler characteristics.
The Pentastar engine produces 209kW and 347Nm of torque, an impressive 63 kW power increase and 32 Nm torque upgrade over the model before it, while at the same time reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
Yet the 2011 RRP pricing will be retained for 2012 models and starts from as little as $51,990.
