Opposite Lock

News and General

Combining bulk buying power with nationwide warranty and support, Opposite Lock offers a comprehensive range of accessories and equipment to suit all popular 4x4s.

The company was formed in the mid 1970s by a keen Aussie rally driver and off-roader Ed Mulligan as a supplier of motorsport equipment, and in the early 1980s it started supplying 4WD-vehicle equipment and accessories. Opposite Lock has since grown under the stewardship of current Managing Director, Clive Finkelstein from a network of stores in the high teens to 65 stores in Australia, the first one here in New Zealand, and a global reach that is continuing to expand under the umbrella of Australia’s Automotive Brands Group.

No matter where you’ve come from, or where you’re going, you’ll find every member of the OL network is there ready and willing to help.
