Spider Car

New and tested 4WDs

The Swincar (that’s its real name) has been designed by a trio of French enthusiasts who have big ideas for their spider-like vehicle.

“Our machine is now in the industrialisation process, and we are taking the first orders for delivery in November in Europe, Swincar’s marketing and business manager Thierry Jammes said earlier this year.

“Customers’ price will be around 10,000 Euros plus tax, depending on the battery capacity and whether it’s two or four-wheel drive.

“A road homologated version will be available early 2016 (for Europe), as will a two-seater version.”

Thierry said vehicles are expected to be ready for export to New Zealand from mid-2016, and Swincar is looking for local distributors.

“It will allow you to rediscover the pleasure of walking in the mountains, in forests, in fields or along the beach enjoying the fresh air, the sound of the wind, waves or birds, without noise or air pollution.”

OK, so that’s a pretty good reason for having it. You can literally go anywhere you like in this vehicle, and there’s an awesome video on the website www.swincar.fr that proves it.
