The 2014 Geneva International Motor Show will see the world debut of the diesel Jeep Cherokee, complete with a 9-speed automatic transmission and 2-litre turbo diesel. The model has already met with success in the US, selling 29,000 units in the first two months.
The new engine is available in two versions, offering customers a choice of 127kW and 104kW outputs, both generating 350Nm of torque. The 127kW version is coupled with the 9-speed automatic gearbox, while the 104kW version is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
The new Cherokee offers a choice of three four-wheel drive systems, which include low range and locking rear diff (petrol variants only).
