New paint finishes and a greater choice of alloy wheels and interior trims, including carbon fibre, highlight the 2013 Range Rover Sport.
"The Range Rover Sport was substantially revised in 2011 with major powertrain enhancements and raised equipment levels to reinforce its outstanding breadth of capability,” says Gary Upson, the Land Rover brand manager for New Zealand.
“For 2013 we're going one step further, offering even more choice with some great new colour combinations and detail improvements to redefine the Range Rover Sport's class-leading levels of comfort and customer appeal."
There’s a new 5-spoke cast alloy wheel design in sparkle silver and five new body colours: Barolo, Barossa, Causeway, Havana and Mariana.
The supercharged model also gets red Brembo brake calipers as standard, with the option of reverting back to black at no additional cost.
The interior specifications offer a dark upper cabin environment with lighter coloured seats or the opposite way round. Customers can also opt for a new carbon fibre veneer pack.
The High-Ice Harmon Kardon system delivers 380W of sound from a total of 11 speakers while the premium Harmon Kardon Logic system produces 825W from no fewer than 17 speakers.
The 7-inch touch screen provides the option of Dual View technology, allowing the driver to view the navigational display and the passenger to watch a DVD. Advanced features include a hard disc drive music server and Land Rover's "Say What You See" voice recognition system with screen prompts.
The engine line-up remains unchanged for 2013, with a 180kW/600Nm 3-litre turbo diesel, a 276kW/510Nm 5-litre petrol or the 375kW/625Nm supercharged 5-litre petrol. All engines drive through ZF HP28 6-speed automatic gearboxes. Gears can be manually selected by steering wheel paddles in addition to full automatic mode.
