New tougher, smarter Ford Ranger

New and tested 4WDs

Evolution rather than revolution was the underlying theme when Ford unveiled its upgraded Ranger ute at the Bangkok International Motor Show on March 23.
Set to arrive here in the third quarter of the year the new-look Ranger is outwardly distinguished by a new front end and features a raft of improvements inside and underneath.
These include;

  • Suspension tuning for improved ride
  • The use of a new electric rather than hydraulic power steering system
  • New, more car-like upholstery and trim
  • The introduction of Ford’s SYNC 2 in-car connectivity system which features voice-operated command capability

Speaking to journalists from here, Australia, South Africa and Asia at the official launch company vice-president, marketing, sales and service for the Asia-Pacific region Brett Wheatley said the face-lifted model represented ‘a smarter kind of tough, and will help our customers to achieve more, whether at work or with their families.”
