Explore 2 Gorges: with Methven Lions Club. Rakaia Gorge to Ashburton Gorge via Glenfalloch and Lake Heron Stations. The two stations consist of 10,900 and 20,000 hectares respectively and sit at the top of the gorges. Thanks to the generosity of the owners 4WD enthusiasts will be able to enjoy access via private tracks between Rakaia and Ashburton Gorges. The day will run as a self-drive safari rather than as a tag-a-along so you can stop, take photos and enjoy the scenery at leisure. 4WD vehicles only. Cost $100 per vehicle. Food available at Glenfalloch Station. Tickets available on day at Mt Hutt Limeworks, Blackford Road from 7.30am. Last tickets on sale at 1.00pm and last vehicle to leave Glenfalloch Station at 2.00pm. Alternate date March 2nd 2025.
