A new range of car cleaning products has arrived in New Zealand from across the ditch – Bowdens Own.
Bowdens Own is a 20-year-old family business. They have an extensive range of cleaning products and sent NZ4WD a sample of their 4WD specific products to try out.
One of the most interesting for a 4WDriver is the Snow Blow Cannon and the associated Mega Snow Job heavy duty foam cleaner. The Cannon is a device that connects to your water blaster (They have fittings available for most models of water blaster including our Nilfisk cleaner). You fill it with the Mega Snow Job and it applies a cleaning foam over the vehicle that you can leave for a while to break up the dirt before you hose it off. Whilst this won’t shift thick mud it does a great job on reasonable quantities of dirt.
You can then dry the vehicle off with Bowdens Own range of microfibre clothes from the largest – The Twisted Mother Sucker to the Twisted Little Suckers for getting into corners.
They also have a good range of cleaning brushes (From the Chubby through the Foursome to The Little Stiffy) and clothes and specialised products such as Down & Dirty for tyres and underbody along with sealants and protectants such as Happy Ending, Boss Gloss and Sweet rubber amongst others.
One interesting idea is their three-bucket system where you have buckets for wash, rinse and wheels to avoid cross contamination, each bucket has a Great Barrier Thingy to separate fallen out dirt from the water and a lid.
