Isuzu D-Max gets the Bendix Ultimate 4WD treatment

Products

Bendix has introduced new variants of its Ultimate 4WD Brake Upgrade Kits to suit the Isuzu D-Max (RG) range, significantly improving braking performance for this popular off-roader.

Highly regarding in recreational four-wheel drive circles for their no-nonsense fundamentals, great reliability and strong capabilities when the bitumen ends, D-Max owners often accessorise their rigs, adding considerable tare weight and diluting braking performance.

Accessories such as bar work, winch, a canopy, roof racks, dual battery systems, fridge and other equipment, quickly add hundreds of kilograms to a vehicle’s weight, and the braking issues are compounded if fitted with larger tyres and if towing a campervan or trailer.

Bendix’s Ultimate 4WD Brake Upgrade Kits counter the diminished braking performance caused through this extra weight by offering a series of premium braking components in the convenience of a single kit.

Available for RG D-Max as a front kit, the package consists of diamond tip slot Ultimate 4WD Disc Brake Rotors, a set of Ultimate 4WD Brake Pads, Ultimate 4WD Brake Hoses and ancillary products such as Heavy-Duty Brake Fluid, Ceramasil Brake Parts Lubricant and Rotor Wipes. As an extra bonus, the components are packaged in a handy Bendix-branded 60L icebox.

The Ultimate 4WD pads are engineered for extreme conditions they feature Bendix’s  premium Mechanical Retention System (MRS) for improved pad attachment strength, and a high-tech ceramic formulation that provide low dust and noise. The rotors feature High Carbon Metallurgy for added strength and thermal stability and diamond tip slots and dimples on the braking surface to more efficiently expel, heat, dirt and water.

The third major component of the kit is the Bendix braided brake hoses – these meet and often exceed SAE J1401, FMVSS 106 DOT and ISO3996 industry standards and are constructed from PTFE (Teflon) tubing which is then covered by woven stainless steel 304 braid, and finished with a Bendix blue Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) protective layer that further safeguards the braid from dirt, dust and grime.
