Ford New Zealand today announced pricing and specifications for the 2026.5 Ford Everest range, headlined by a new entry point for the family: the Everest Active.
The update marks a strategic shift for the award-winning SUV range. The Everest Trend will cease production, with a new model, the Everest Active, becoming the new starting point for the line-up.
Mathew Slade, Marketing Director, Ford New Zealand, says the Active is designed to balance style and value, featuring bold new interior and exterior design themes, presenting a compelling option for Kiwi families and adventurers.
“The Everest continues to be a Kiwi favourite with its five-star safety, three and a half tonne towing and go-anywhere adventure capability. In 2025, it was the number one selling large SUV in the country for the third year in a row,” he said
“The introduction of the Everest Active allows us to build on this incredible momentum by offering a fresh, bold personality at the entry point of the range. It’s a vehicle that doesn't compromise on presence or essential features. By listening to our customers, we’ve refined the line-up to ensure that from the Active through to the Platinum, every Everest provides the capability, safety, and technology New Zealanders expect from a premium SUV.”
A New Entry into the Everest Family
Available with the proven 2.0-litre turbo powertrain, the Everest Active comes equipped with a premium suite of standard features, including:
- Leather-accented seats
- 12-inch infotainment touchscreen with SYNC® 4A
- 18-inch alloy wheels
- Privacy glass
- Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
- LED headlamps
Refined Line-up and Enhanced Specifications
The Sport, Wildtrak, and Platinum variants will continue as core pillars of the Everest family. Notably, the Everest Sport will now offer customers more choice with both 2.0L and 3.0L V6 powertrain options. A Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) has also been added as a standard feature on the Sport variant.
The Wildtrak and Platinum models remain the performance leaders of the range, offered exclusively with the powerful 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine. The popular Everest Tremor returns as a special edition powered by the 3.0-litre V6.
First customer deliveries for both models are scheduled for mid-2026.
