Freelander name coming back

News and General
Land Rover's Freelander won the brand a whole new set of fans when it launched in the mid-1990s. Diesel or petrol powered, three door or five door, it marked Land Rover's divorce from partner Honda, and its emergence as a provider of urban and rural 4WD and AWD vehicles for all purposes.
Now the name is back, and this time it's a joint venture between Geely of China and Land Rover, and it will be an EV. The project has advanced to concept stage, and the styling displays a number of strong Freelander design cues.
