Isuzu upgrades D-Max

New and tested 4WDs

There are nine models in the new range which features a new full Euro5 compatible version of the company’s signature 3.0 litre turbo diesel four-cylinder engine mated to new, now six-speed manual or automatic transmissions.

The new RT87 model is immediately distinguishable from the RT85 it replaces by a new, sharper-edged nose and bonnet, new headlights and a new grille.

Other changes/improvements include an engine fettle which has unleashed an extra 50Nms more torque, the addition of Hill Decent Control software as standard, and  an upgrade from 17 inch to 18 inch dia. alloy wheels on applicable models.

Inside there is a new seven in. (LX spec) and eight in. (LS and LS-T) infotainment screen with rear view camera, eight speaker (up from six) stereo and USB outlet for the rear seat (double cab models).

There are nine models in the upgraded range, with prices starting at $39,890 for the LX auto 2WD cab/chassis and topping out at $61,990 for the LS-T auto 4WD double cab.
