Kuga wins top rating

News and General

Ford has become the first car manufacturer to achieve six different Euro NCap Advanced rewards for outstanding technological innovation, including features on the all-new Kuga 4WD.

Ford also achieved maximum 5-star safety ratings for the Kuga from the independent vehicle safety organisation following its latest round of crash tests.

The MyKey technology enables parents to place certain restrictions on young drivers to promote safer driving by limiting the vehicle’s top speed and lowering the maximum volume of the audio system. It also provides earlier low fuel warnings, prevents safety features including electronic stability control and Active City Stop from being deactivated, and mutes the audio system if the driver and front seat passenger fail to buckle up.

Ford has already achieved Euro NCAP Advanced rewards for Active City Stop – a safety system designed to help drivers avoid low speed collisions..

In achieving the 5-star Euro NCap rating, new Kuga achieved 88 pe cent for overall protection – the highest rating yet for a mid-sized SUV; as well as 94 perent for adult protection; and 86 percent for child protection.
