Subaru broadens BEV offering with Trailseeker

News and General

Subaru's all-new, all-electric Trailseeker has arrived, expanding the brand's BEV range with the largest, most powerful and most adventurous all-electric Subaru ever.

Trailseeker joins the Solterra and the all-new Uncharted to form a three model BEV line-up across small, medium and large SUV categories. It delivers 280 kW of combined power and a 0–100 km/h time of 4.5 seconds using a 74.7 kWh CATL lithium-ion battery providing a driving range of up to 533 km. Its 150 kW DC fast-charging that takes the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in  30 minutes.

The Trailseeker features Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive with a dual-motor All-Wheel Drive system supported by Driving Trajectory Prediction Control that anticipates the driver's intended path and pre-allocatesd torque. With Dual Mode X-Mode and a Grip Control function for low-traction terrain, 211 mm of ground clearance, Trailseeker is equally composed merging onto a motorway or powering down a dirt track.

Inside, a 14-inch high-definition touchscreen anchors the centre console, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Directly ahead of the driver, a 7-inch LCD Multi-Information Display presents speed, range, drive mode and navigation in clean, fast-reading graphics. A digital rear-view mirror replaces the conventional reflection with a live camera feed, providing a wider, unobstructed view rearward regardless of passenger or cargo load. Dual wireless Qi chargers in the front centre console keep two devices powered simultaneously without a cable. Multi-colour LED ambient lighting, a heated steering wheel and dual-zone climate control with rear vents come standard across the range, and Trailseeker AWD Touring elevates the experience further with a panoramic glass roof, ten-speaker plus subwoofer Harman Kardon premium audio system, leather-accented seating with ventilated front seats, and Advanced Park Assist with four Panoramic View Monitor cameras and 12 ultrasonic sensors.

Trailseeker is built to carry the lifestyle that matches its performance. The flat-floor architecture of the e-Subaru Global Platform delivers a usable, level cargo area of 609 litres in the Trailseeker AWD and 595 litres in the Trailseeker AWD Touring, accessed via a hands-free power tailgate with kick sensor that opens when both hands are full. Integrated roof rails come standard across the range, and with optional crossbars fitted, Trailseeker is ready to carry bike racks, kayak cradles, roof boxes and rooftop tents for wherever the trip takes you. Trailseeker AWD Touring adds a 220-volt, 1,500-watt Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) outlet, turning the high-voltage battery into a portable power source for power tools, lighting and electronic devices well beyond the reach of mains power.

Safety is supported by Subaru's comprehensive active safety suite. Subaru Safety Sense is standard across the range, featuring Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Emergency Driving Stop System, Emergency Steering Assist, Lane Departure Alert, Lane Tracing Assist, Low-Speed Acceleration Suppression and Road Sign Assist. A Driver Monitor System uses an in-cabin camera to provide distraction and drowsiness warnings, while a full Vision Assist suite, including Adaptive High-Beam System, Blind Spot Monitor, Multi-Terrain Monitor, Panoramic 360 Degree View Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Safe Exit Assist, helps the driver stay aware of the world around the vehicle.
