Sport club fundraiser. 4WD Pioi and Piripiri Stations in the southern King Country. Bring your own 4WD vehicle. Enjoy an epic tour of a King Country Coastal Station taken out of foreign ownership in the last 4 years and back into NZ ownership, with its prominent historic Pa Sites and rugged iconic West Coast views.
It is set to be a day to remember and will help fund our boys’ rugby trip to Japan in 2026.
The trip will start at the Mahoenui Memorial Hall, travelling over roads and farmland finishing at Fraser Smith Road, Awakino. The terrain will be a mix of metal roads, farm tracks, paddocks and if conditions permit, some stony stream crossings. We will have some stops at points of interest along the way.
Four wheel drive vehicles with low range and good ground clearance are essential, with a minimum of all terrain tyres.
Please ensure your vehicle is full of fuel before commencing the journey as there are no refuelling stations during the trip.
As we are visiting remote rural locations cell phone coverage will be extremely limited.
Late BBQ lunch provided at the end of the trip.
Cost: $100/adult. $50/child (0-15years).
