Hereworth Old Boys trip

News and General

In March next year the fourth Hereworth School Old Boys 4WD trip will be held, this time covering the foothills of central Hawkes Bay.
This event has been a huge success in the past, having alternated between a coastal trip and heading inland.  It is a weekend of fun, starting at around mid-day Friday and finishing on Sunday afternoon, a family affair with all ages catered for, and in the past it has attracted people from all over the North Island.
The catering for the weekend again promises to be a highlight, with breakfasts and dinners that any hotel would be proud to serve, and a packed lunch each day.
Vehicles need to have a current WoF, a low range gearbox, and reasonable tyres.  The terrain covered may be challenging for some, but a B route is available where anything is considered too challenging.  In the interests of safety all vehicles are required to carry a small amount of safety equipment and are scrutineered  prior to starting out on Friday afternoon.
There are a number of very experienced 4WD people involved with organising the event and amongthe participants.  These people are only too willing to assist a less experienced driver, so if you are new to these events there is plenty of advice available.
So put the March 8-10 2013 in your diary and visit http://www.hereworth4wd.co.nz/ to register for what should be another outstanding weekend.
