Weekends just got better

Products

Nothing beats heading off the beaten track for a weekend away. And if you want to transform your ute into a comfortable place to sleep, a Roof Top Tent is the best way to do it. Often, however, fitting the tent is a challenge due to the size and weight of the unit.

Look no further than Utemaster. The Load-Lid™ and Centurion Canopy™ make the perfect base platform for a Roof Top Tent. Together the combination is tough, durable, and comfortable, and it allows you to use your ute for work during the week, and adventure on the weekend!

Here are a few key benefits that make overlanding with Utemaster’s Roof Top set-up a no brainer:

Roof Top Tent mounting kit

Utemaster’s Load-Lid™ supports roof rack cross bars which most tents can clamp straight onto. In fact, the 200kg load rating make this a breeze. On the Centurion Canopy™, meanwhile, the team at Utemaster are developing a range of standard attachments to work with common tent brands.

Safely support a heavy load

Roof Top Tents are heavy and often have a deadweight of between 40 – 80kg plus the weight of people inside. A traditional roof rack set-up mounted to the cab of the vehicle is not strong enough to support this.

A roof rack setup that is mounted to both the cab and the canopy can cause damage when the flex between the wellside and the cab occurs when off-road.

To combat this, Utemaster’s Cantilever Roof Rack extends over the cab making it completely independent and eliminates the risk of damage to the cab.

The Cantilever Roof Rack is a seriously robust optional extra for the Centurion Canopy™ with a 200kg load capacity when driving. When stationary, the Cantilever Roof Rack can safely support the weight of two people inside the tent. This makes it ideal for carrying/mounting a Roof Top Tent.

Extra room and easy access to camping gear

The side doors on the Centurion Canopy™ give you up to 50 percent more access into your wellside than a traditional Canopy. After a hard day wrestling an off-road track, you can easily take your gear out of the side doors without having to climb through the back to access gear at the front of the wellside.

The Utemaster Centurion Canopy™ combined with a Roof Top Tent set-up really is a game changer when it comes to weekends away – making the trip as comfortable as possible.
