Innovative solutions for every adventure
Yakima’s story is more of a journey, because they’ve never been good at sitting still. After all, the company says its people don’t have ‘wild sides’; they have wild souls. For more than four decades, the company’s trusted solutions have transformed the way people travel. Yakima is a leader in the category, packing heritage, safety, design sensibility, and street smarts into every product.

Originally founded in the Pacific Northwest, USA and now with a home base across the ditch in Australia, they’ve got the great outdoors at their doorstep. From creeks to peaks, beaches to bush, the grounds they roam make them feel at home. Together with their network of respected retailers and distributors around the globe, they give everyone the freedom to wander, the right to be unruly, and the confidence to go more rogue.

Yakima has a history of making bold moves in the name of new horizons. They started as a small machine shop in their namesake city in Washington state. Then in 1979, Steve Cole and Don Banducci, hardcore kayakers and cyclists, acquired the company. By 1984, they put Yakima on the map at the Summer Olympics, decking out every race vehicle with original aerodynamic fairings. Today, they continue to lead the niche they helped establish so many decades ago around the globe – with the same enthusiasm for the widest skies and the open road.

StreamLine, Yakima’s toughest roof rack system, ever
Yakima’s been doing roof racks for a long time, so it’s big news when they come out with an all-new, tougher, integrated roof rack system!

The all-new StreamLine system fits a wide range of vehicles and roof styles, plus it looks great. With a new modular solution, Yakima makes it easier to figure out which one’s right for your car. Sleek, stylish, and built to compliment your vehicle’s shape, the new StreamLine roof rack series is compatible with all Yakima rack accessories from cargo, bike, water and so much more. Combining advanced aerodynamics and clean lines with exceptional strength and versatility, StreamLine mimics the curvature of the vehicle’s roof for a stronger and better fit.

With three crossbar styles and eight leg designs, there is a system to fit any lifestyle, carrying all the gear required. Built to last, the crossbars are engineered with light aluminium construction and durable black powder-coat or anodised silver finish. The legs are made just as tough with steel chassis, high rust resistant coating, and ASA plastic for strong weather resistance and UV stability.

StreamLine is Yakima’s most advanced roof rack system, the foundation for fun. Regardless of how big or small the adventure is, it’s all possible with StreamLine and Yakima’s huge range of carrying options.
